Save a Life: By adopting a pet from the Saskatoon SPCA, you're giving a homeless animal a second chance at a happy life.
Health and Wellness: All our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We also provide a free veterinary visit to ensure your new pet is healthy.
Support and Guidance: Our team is here to help you through the adoption process and beyond. We offer advice and resources to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Adoption Fees
Cats
Cats/Kittens in Shelter: At the Saskatoon SPCA, our priority is to place cats into loving homes. We suggest a minimum donation of $125 to help cover our cats’ vet care, food, and shelter. However, if the cost is a barrier for you, we welcome adopters to "Pick Your Price", starting at a minimum donation of $25.
Cats/Kittens at Satellite Locations: $125**
Satellite Locations: Both Petland locations, PetSmart Meadows Market, PetValu Canarama Shopping Centre, PetValu Martensville, Martensville Building and Home Centre
Dogs
Adult Dogs (9 months and older): $315
Puppies (Under 9 months): $445
Desirable Breed Adult: $465
Desirable Breed Puppy: $575
Adoption Hold: $50
ADOPTION HOLDS FOR DOGS
Interested adopters can place a 24-hour hold on a dog by paying a $50 fee. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. By choosing this option, you understand that the $50 will not be returned or applied to an adoption, even if you change your mind.
If you pay the hold fee on a Sunday, it will expire on Tuesday because public adoptions are closed on Mondays. Holds cannot be placed on specialty-fee dogs or dogs.
If you have met a dog at the Shelter that still needs spay or neuter surgery, you can place a hold on them. This hold will last until 24 hours after their surgery is done. You will be told when the surgery is booked so you know when your hold ends.

Guinea Pig: $30
Gerbil / Hamster / Rat: $20
Rabbit: $45
Mouse: $15
Degu / Hedgehog: $45
