Every cat is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. You also receive a free veterinary visit to help your new cat start life in their new home healthy and happy.

The adoption fee for cats and kittens at the Saskatoon SPCA is $125. Cats at our satellite adoption locations are also $125. If cost is a barrier, you can choose a minimum donation of $25 through our “Pick Your Price” program for cats and kittens in the shelter.

Yes. You can place a 24-hour hold for $50. This fee is non-refundable and does not go toward the adoption fee. Holds are not available for specialty-fee animals or cats located at satellite locations.

Holds placed on Sunday expire on Tuesday because our adoption centre is closed on Mondays.

No. Only cats that are already spayed or neutered and available for adoption can be placed on hold. Cats still needing surgery will not appear as available until the procedure is complete.
