Dog Day of Summer – Fundraiser for Saskatoon SPCA
Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2025
Time: Multiple swim sessions all day (first session at 10 a.m., last ends at 7:55 p.m.)
Location: Mayfair Outdoor Pool, Saskatoon
Overview
Bring your dog to the Dog Day of Summer at Mayfair Outdoor Pool. This free, city-hosted splash event celebrates summertime—and it’s a great way to help the Saskatoon SPCA raise funds through a BBQ on site.
How It Works
Pre-registration only via Saskatoon.ca, starting July 8 and ending August 24.
Each time slot holds up to 60 dogs, with special sessions for:
Small dogs (under 40 cm / 16″ at the shoulder and under 9 kg / 20 lbs): 10–10:55 a.m. and 7–7:55 p.m.
Service & therapy dogs: 11–11:55 a.m.
All dogs: Every hour from 12–12:55 p.m. until 6–6:55 p.m.
Requirements for dogs: must be well-socialized, vaccinated, and have a valid City of Saskatoon pet license purchased before registering.
What to Expect
The pool has a gentle zero-entry design, so dogs can wade in safely.
Only dogs may swim—no human swimming is allowed.
Owners should trim their dog’s nails before attending.
Saskatoon SPCA will be running a BBQ fundraiser during the event—grab a bite, support a good cause!
